The Basin of NH is part of the Pemigewasset River where a small waterfall drops into a basin that has been carved into the granite. The basin is a 15-foot deep hole and about 30-feet wide. The granite in the pool, and other parts along the stream, reflects the water back as a blue-green.
There is no swimming allowed in this hole; however, there are other swimming holes along the River.
